Recital 2007
Silver Music Studios is proud to present its 4th Annual recital for the students and teachers of our school. On Sunday, March 18, from 2 pm - 5 pm, we will host what we all expect to be another rousing success. The recital will be held again at the Collenbrook Church in Drexel Hill, and will be filmed for release and sale on DVD. The event, as always is free to our students, their families and friends. Mark your calendars. We look forward to the good times, sounds.....and warmth.
Student Spotlight:
Zach Holliday
Silver Music Studios is proud to bring you our first student spotlight. Zachary Holliday graced our presence up until about a year ago. Zach has since graduated High School and finished his 1st year at West Chester University, as a Classical Guitar Major.
In his first year there, Zach acquired prime jazz guitarist role in both the WCU Statesmen and the WCU Criterions. In the Criterions, Zach had the privilege to open before the now late, and always-great Maynard Ferguson.
Performances around the city have rounded our Zach's musical strata. He has now been accepted into the Music of the Arts on a scholarship. You can also check out his original group -- the Vida Ambit -- at http://myspace.com/zachhollidaymusic.
We shall be watching this young music warrior.

Drummers Beware
A lady walks into a store and tells the man behind the counter she would like some musician's brains.
"Alright", he says, "What kind?".
"How much do they cost?" she asks.
"Well, those are guitarists' at $5 a pound, those are bassists' at $10 a pound, and those are keyboardists' at $15 a pound," he replies.
"What are those way back there?" she asks.
"Those are drummers brains. They cost $100 a pound," he replies.
"GOODNESS!!", she exclaims, "Why so expensive?"
"Lady, do you realize how many drummers it takes to get a pound of brains?!?!".
