It's hard to categorize Scot's new invention, but Taxi takes a shot at it. The call it: "progressive jazz-rock/New Age crossover a la Michael Hedges & Steve Howe." Did that clear it up for you? Read more about what Taxi had to say.
The main theme created and performed on the same 12-string given to me by good friends. Seemed only fitting to name the tune after their child’s nickname. It is a song about growth.

"Blending elements of acoustic, new age, funk, rock, metal, classical, ethnic and jazz, Scot Silver has created an unusually satisfying collection of original solo guitar works.
Making solo guitar interesting to listeners is no small task but Scot pulls it off admirably. Odyssey is a CD that guitar players of all styles should add to their listening collection."
-- Jazz impressario Chuck Anderson
“I wanna take you to the place of the Dancing trees.” I was blessed enough to visit this locale upon initial courtship of my lass.
For the man in my life whom I am the biggest fan.
Written for and inspired by my teacher, mentor and confidant, Chuck Anderson. You must lay the bricks before you can tear them up.
clever, huh? Make of them what you will. They are soundscapes or mini-movies to me.

"Silver has taken the time to gather some of his finest work onto a CD called Odyssey. The 12 tracks offer a refreshing mix of styles and tempos, each with its own distinct personality.
Silver’s gift is to breathe life into instrumental music, and his work can really move the listener emotionally without using any lyrics (not an easy thing to do).
Give Odyssey a listen, you’ll find it’s a journey well worth taking."

This song is titled with the apt double entendre. For Stu, my #1 fan and truly great friend, who does things on his own terms.
Written for my little sister whom has blossomed into a beautiful woman. This was intended to be a simple, pretty tune. It ended up being in 4 different time signatures. So much for intention.
Swing set… Makin’ the bed… all titles my wife named this piece years ago. The title of resolve seemed the most fitting. The main theme was used to walk her down the aisle at our nuptials.
I couldn’t ask for a better one ... even if we aren’t blood. For Tom. Note the sci-fi ending.
Inspired by my Honeymoon in Spain. The most magnificent sky and perfect time ever… minus the strep throat.
