Founded in 1996, Silver Music Studios is dedicated to providing high-quality, individualized music lessons to kids and adults in any style and any experience level. Our music school in Havertown offers guitar, bass, piano and voice lessons. One-on-one online music lessons via Skype or FaceTime are also available. We have a diverse staff of teachers to choose from, and customize lesson plans to match your style(s) and personality. For those who want to get started but have no gear, our exclusive store carries quality instruments and equipment to buy or rent at affordable prices.

In-person or On-line!

Silver Music Studios is once again offering one-on-one lessons in our Havertown Studio. For everyone’s safety, we have a few new COVID safety rules to follow, but we are happy to be seeing students in-person once again.

We understand that everyone has different comfort levels when it comes to the right time to resume some activities, and we want to stress that it is by no means required for lessons to be in-studio. As we have for more than a year, we will continue to offer online music lessons for guitar, bass, piano, voice and ukulele. if you are currently taking online lessons and are interested in in-person lessons in the studio (or have any other questions for that matter), please contact us!

Not only did you teach me how to play, but more importantly how to learn. Through your lessons I have learned how to listen, wonder, and ask. It has taught me that with persistence and practice I can play anything I want.

Scott and his staff are simply AMAZING. Scott is my teacher and he is so patient, knowledgeable, and determined to get you to a higher playing level. He teaches, explains the theory behind the teaching and is your personal pep squad. I've only had four lessons with him but I'm now so inspired and excited to learn guitar and I blame him (mostly). I was learning from online instruction and although I learned allot, I felt that I was still missing something. I found it in Scott's teachings. He shows you what you are doing incorrect (not in a scarcastic way mind you), then gives you a more simpler way which you would probably have to search the internet or YouTube before finding it. While waiting for my lesson, I can hear the other instructors with their students and they give the same high level of understanding, knowledge, and encouragement to their students that Scott does with me. The outcome that you'll get from learning at Silver Music Studios is well worth the fee and then some. Even if you don't live in the area, I strongly recommend giving Silver Music Studios at least one try and you'll see what I mean. Although I'm learning guitar late in life, I'm finally fulfilling a dream and I feel that with Scott's continued teachings and my commitment to learn and practice, I will soon be at a level to where I can truly enjoy my instrument. Thank you Scott and the Staff at Silver Music School for renewing my faith in others as well as faith in myself.

Love this music studio! Teachers are doing an awesome job! We use for piano and guitar. I’m very happy with the flexibility of the appointments and progress with my kids. Convenient location on West Chester Pike. I can drop them off for lessons and run to Acme to pick up a few things.

I’ve been taking guitar and voice lessons from Scot for three years now, and I’m not being dramatic when I say my experience with Scot has been one of the most amazing opportunities of my life. Scot was born to be a teacher. Even as a complete beginner, he treated me with respect and patience. As my skills developed, he pushed me to take chances and introduced me to other like-minded musicians, so that I’d have a network of other people with whom to play and sing. He’s encouraging, good at explaining even challenging concepts, he listens to me, and has worked to help me meet every goal I set for myself. You couldn’t pick a better music school, or teacher.
