Online Bass Lessons via Skype or FaceTime

These days, you can have effective music lessons even if your teacher is miles away! This is thanks to free videoconferencing technologies such as Skype or FaceTime. This way, you can see your teacher and your teacher can see you. Your teacher can help you with hand position, playing style, and technique no matter where you are!

Silver Music Studios offers bass lessons online via videoconference. This is a great option for people who live outside the area, people whose schedules don’t permit them to travel to the studio, or high school students who want to continue studying after they’ve left the area to attend university.

What’s required for online lessons?

Just about every computer, tablet, and phone sold today can run free videoconferencing software, either Skype (available on all platforms) or FaceTime (built-in on Apple devices). Your computer, tablet, or phone, a reasonably good Internet connection, and your instrument are all that you need!*

Because sheet music can be sent via email or digital download, and because we offer online payments, you can enjoy all of the benefits of a Silver Music Studios education without ever stepping foot in one of our studios!

To get you started, Silver Music Studios offers a free consultation for online students. We’ll get connected, talk over your interests and goals, and discuss how an online learning plan can help you become the musician you always wanted to be (but couldn’t get to the studio for lessons!).

* note that while you can have online lessons using your phone, we recommend a device with a larger screen, such as a laptop or home computer.

Scott and his staff are simply AMAZING. Scott is my teacher and he is so patient, knowledgeable, and determined to get you to a higher playing level. He teaches, explains the theory behind the teaching and is your personal pep squad. I've only had four lessons with him but I'm now so inspired and excited to learn guitar and I blame him (mostly). I was learning from online instruction and although I learned allot, I felt that I was still missing something. I found it in Scott's teachings. He shows you what you are doing incorrect (not in a scarcastic way mind you), then gives you a more simpler way which you would probably have to search the internet or YouTube before finding it. While waiting for my lesson, I can hear the other instructors with their students and they give the same high level of understanding, knowledge, and encouragement to their students that Scott does with me. The outcome that you'll get from learning at Silver Music Studios is well worth the fee and then some. Even if you don't live in the area, I strongly recommend giving Silver Music Studios at least one try and you'll see what I mean. Although I'm learning guitar late in life, I'm finally fulfilling a dream and I feel that with Scott's continued teachings and my commitment to learn and practice, I will soon be at a level to where I can truly enjoy my instrument. Love this music studio! Teachers are doing an awesome job! We use for piano and guitar. I’m very happy with the flexibility of the appointments and progress with my kids. Convenient location on West Chester Pike. I can drop them off for lessons and run to Acme to pick up a few things.

I’ve been taking guitar and voice lessons from Scot for three years now, and I’m not being dramatic when I say my experience with Scot has been one of the most amazing opportunities of my life. Scot was born to be a teacher. Even as a complete beginner, he treated me with respect and patience. As my skills developed, he pushed me to take chances and introduced me to other like-minded musicians, so that I’d have a network of other people with whom to play and sing. He’s encouraging, good at explaining even challenging concepts, he listens to me, and has worked to help me meet every goal I set for myself. You couldn’t pick a better music school, or teacher.
