Online Guitar Lessons via Skype or FaceTime

Student taking online guitar lesson

These days, you can take online guitar lessons from an expert even if your teacher is miles away! With free videoconferencing technologies such as Skype or FaceTime, you can see your teacher and your teacher can see you. Because your teacher can help you with hand position, playing style, you can learn the right technique no matter where you are!

Silver Music Studios offers guitar lessons online via videoconference. This is a great option for people who live outside the area, people whose schedules don’t permit them to travel to the studio, or high school students who want to continue studying after they’ve left the area to attend university.

How do online guitar lessons work?

Just about every computer, tablet, and phone sold today can run free videoconferencing software, either Skype (available on all platforms) or FaceTime (built-in on Apple devices). If you have a computer, tablet, or phone, a reasonably good Internet connection, and a guitar then you already have everything you need to learn to play guitar!*

Thanks to these new technologies, you can get a great guitar education without ever having to visit the studio! We can send you sheet music via email or digital download and we offer online payments, so even if you can’t make it to us, we have you covered!

How do I start my guitar lessons by Skype or FaceTime?

To get you started, Silver Music Studios offers a free consultation for online students. During this consultation, we’ll get connected, talk over your interests and goals, and discuss how an online learning plan can help you become the musician you always wanted to be (but couldn’t get to the studio for lessons!).

* note that while you can have online lessons using your phone, we recommend a device with a larger screen, such as a laptop or home computer.
